Celebrity Sweat teams up with the Special Olympics

Earlier this week, Team Csweat had the privilege and honor of training the Special Olympics delegation from Columbia. We hit the gym at the LA Athletic Club, with Eric the Trainer, his crew and Chris Shelton of Morning Crane Healing Arts Center. It was an awesome day with some very incredible people. Celebrity Sweat were thrilled to meet and train with such great, enthusiastic people. We wish the delegation much success in the upcoming Special Olympics.

Earlier this month, Celebrity Sweat visited with the Atlanta Falcons for an upcoming episode of our reality series, and had the chance to catch up with one of our very first ambassadors – Devin Hester. In addition to filming fitness and training tips with several of the Falcons’ players, we donated some Celebrity Sweat draw string bags to Devin for his foundation’s work with the Play 60 initiative. Play 60 strives to get kids active and fit through an array of programs and events with participating franchise teams and players.

Team Csweat makes the Red Carpet Sizzle

Celebrity Sweat took its team of celebs and pro athletes to the 2015 ESPYs, and stole the show! We had a blast on the Red Carpet and our VIP Post Party was awesome! We will post the complete recap soon – the picture gallery promises to be a ‘who’s who’ of sports and big screen! Sit tight and check back early next week. The Csweat Team cleans up pretty well, so brace yourself for yet another side of Celebrity Sweat.

Panzanella Salad

Panzanella Salad

Ingredients
  • 4 slices stale bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Veggies:
  • 1 medium tomato, cut into cubes, or 6 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 seedless cucumber, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ¼ onion, sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh flat leaf parsley, chopped
  • Vinaigrette:
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white balsamic vinegar or 1 tablespoon Champagne vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
Instructions:

To make the toasted bread cubes, toss the bread cubes together with the olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium low heat. Season with salt and toast, stirring occasionally, for 4-6 minutes, or until the bread cubes are lightly browned. Set aside.
For the veggies:
Place the tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, onion and flat leaf parsley together in a large bowl.
For the vinaigrette:
Whisk together the minced garlic, Dijon mustard, vinegar and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
For the completed salad:
Dress the veggies with as much of the vinaigrette as desired and toss until the dressing is evenly distributed to coat all the veggies. Add the toasted bread cubes and let sit for 20-30 minutes, or until the flavors have melded together.

Divide into 4 portions and enjoy!
