Over Super Bowl weekend, the Csweat team and Eric the Trainer grabbed a few minutes with WB Recording Artist Jake Miller. Jake joined us at the 15th annual Celebrity Flag Football Challenge, and took time out from the game to share some of his fitness tips with us. We came, we saw and we took NO names! The 2016 Celebrity Sweat Flag Football Challenge took over the Buck Shaw Field at Santa Clara University on February 6th to host the 15th annual Celebrity Flag Football Game Super Bowl weekend. Teams were led by honorary captains Michael Irvin and Tony Dorsett. The Red team and its NFL legendary QB – Doug Flutie took to the field again the Blue Team, led by Redskins QB Kirk Cousins and Ludacris. The afternoon began with a fabulous Flyover courtesy of the Navy, and with a pregame show featuring marching bands, spirit dancers, cheerleaders and mascots from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara High School and Wilcox High School. We invited the Wounded Warriors to scrimmage against the pros before we kicked off the game itself, and it was incredible. The game was intense, but in the end Team Flutie pulled out a victory 59-58 over Team Cousins. The complete recap and photos from the event will be posted later this week. Our 15th annual Celebrity Flag Football Game will be played at Santa Clara University on Buck Shaw Field, Saturday February 6, 2016. Gates to the festivities will open by 9:00 a.m. Doors to the Flag Football Challenge will open at 11:00 a.m, with the kick-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m. There will be a big Pre-Game show featuring bands, cheerleaders, spirit dancers and more from the local high schools and University itself, beginning around 11:30 a.m. – so plan on joining us early.
Please note: due to large demand for tickets to the Super Celebration & 15th annual Celebrity Flag Football Challenge if you are not in your seats by NOON you will forfeit those seats to the game. So leave ample time, get there early and enjoy the day!
