Once again the Celebrity Sweat team was able to join forces with the Wounded Warrior Project this year in Santa Clara. A portion of VIP ticket sales and auction receipts were donated to this worthy charity. In addition, Celebrity Sweat invited a group of active and retired military vets to participate in our pre-game scrimmage against the pros prior to the actual 15th annual Celebrity Flag Football Challenge. We later hosted several veterans at our VIP party at Bowlmor that evening. The work this organization does for families of veterans and those returning home is pivotal, and Celebrity Sweat is honored to be able to work with such a wonderful group of people every year.
Last week, the Celebrity Sweat team had the unique opportunity to visit with some very special kids when we stopped by the Seattle children’s hospital – Seattle Children’s. We were excited to have Big John McCarthy join Eric the Trainer and our wonderful guest ambassadors TJ Millard of the Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and from the Seattle Seahawks’- SeaGals Hope and Melanie – on this mission. The team got the chance to hang out with the kids as they took breaks from their medical tests and procedures to relax the the sanctity of the playroom. Play therapy is vital component of treatment plans for young patients while they are being treated for an array of illnesses and conditions. The team got the chance to engage in arts and crafts and lego building with the kids, and even snuck in some superhero fun! Celebrity Sweat truly appreciates each and every opportunity we get to give back to the community, whether its working with the Wounded Warriors, Children’s Hospitals, Breast Cancer Awareness, Boys and Girls Clubs or local first responders.
Celebrity Sweat takes our role in the community very seriously, and is pleased to be able to partner up and support many local charities, youth programs, foundations and health organizations. We recently made a donation to the Orange County Cycle for Life program and were excited to be able to be a part of this very worthy program. For more info on the Cycle for Life Cystic Fibrosis program, as well as other important endeavors they undertake, please visit their site now. If you have any charitable causes or organizations that you would like Celebrity Sweat to team up with, please send your request to firstname.lastname@example.org for review.
Earlier this month, Celebrity Sweat visited with the Atlanta Falcons for an upcoming episode of our reality series, and had the chance to catch up with one of our very first ambassadors – Devin Hester. In addition to filming fitness and training tips with several of the Falcons’ players, we donated some Celebrity Sweat draw string bags to Devin for his foundation’s work with the Play 60 initiative. Play 60 strives to get kids active and fit through an array of programs and events with participating franchise teams and players.
Coming to your tv this fall, Celebrity Sweat is excited to bring you another high energy season of our reality series featuring Eric the Trainer and some of your favorite celebs and athletes. As we wrapped up filming this week in Atlanta, we made a special stop at the Boys and Girls Clubs. You may not realize this, but a big part of all Celebrity Sweat events and endeavors is the ability and desire to work closely with local youth groups, pediatric hospitals, and pediatric cancer programs in an effort to give back to the communities we visit, and to promote healthy and active lifestyles. The future is today’s youth, and the Celebrity Sweat family realizes the importance of sending positive messages, and we are a proud to partner again with the President’s Healthy Lifestyle Program.
